Arrive at the park headquarters in Kinigi. Enjoy a warm cup of Rwandan coffee or tea while registered guides assign you to a specific mountain gorilla family and brief you on safety protocols and park etiquette.
Drive to the trailhead and begin your hike into the rainforest accompanied by expert rangers and trackers. The trek can last anywhere between 1 and 4 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once located, spend a full, unforgettable 1 hour observing and photographing the gorilla family up close.
Continue your primate adventure with a morning golden monkey trek through the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park.
